Internet Relay Chat is a popular means to connect to millions of people online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It has done so for decades already. There are thousands of channels on hundreds of servers which you can find all over the internet, including several covering Macintosh topics.
Ircle is a client software you use to connect to these live chat rooms. This is the latest version for System 7 and it is somewhat more advanced in terms of features than MacIRC, but requires a 68030 CPU, leaving the Mac II and LC behind.
